Do you take insurance? We are private-pay providers and do not accept insurance. However, we support clients who wish to seek reimbursement from their insurance companies. To facilitate this process, we provide a monthly superbill that includes: - Session dates and amounts paid - Relevant treatment codes and information You can submit this superbill to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please note that filing for reimbursement is your responsibility, and we recommend verifying your insurance company's policies and benefits before proceeding.
-
Why would I choose to pay private pay instead of using my insurance benefits?Several factors contribute to our clients' preference for private counseling services: 1. Insurance requirements: To use insurance for counseling, a mental health diagnosis is necessary, which becomes part of your permanent record. 2. Confidentiality concerns: Insurance companies may request details about your treatment, potentially breaching confidentiality. Unlike therapist-client relationships, insurance information isn't equally protected. 3. Permanent record implications: Once in your medical record, this information can be accessed by third parties for various reasons. 4. Treatment limitations: Insurance companies may restrict the number of sessions or types of therapy available based on your diagnosis, potentially leading to premature termination of therapy.
