EXPERIENCE
As a psychotherapist, Andrea guides clients on their journey to living their best lives and reaching their ultimate goals. She believes old ways won’t open new doors and applies a holistic approach using positive psychology, strength based practices, and cognitive behavioral therapy. This empowers her clients be proactive in shaping their own life story, turning their adversities into strengths.
Andrea received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Oklahoma State University. She completed her Master of Science degree in Counseling at Texas A&M Commerce. After becoming a License Professional Counselor, she went to work for Promise House in South Dallas where she was their program psychotherapist. She worked with at risk youth, homeless youth, parents, teen moms, and entire families, doing individual and group therapy as well as family therapy and parenting classes. She then started at a private practice in 2005, where she worked with teens, women, men, couples, and LGBTQIA, all ranging in ages from 12 to 90.
Andrea loves helping clients with diverse issues ranging from depression, anxiety, life choices, transitions, couples therapy, trauma work, teen challenges, women’s issues, divorce difficulties and sports and academic challenges.
