EXPERIENCE


Blanca has a passion to help those who are in need to process emotional and psychological trauma. She incorporates a body, mind, and spirit approach in therapy through a combination of psychoeducation, experiential applications of the polyvagal theory and EMDR. She believes that everyone has the capacity to heal from the past, reconnect to themselves and others, and reinvent themselves. Blanca views her role as helping others regain a sense of wholeness by providing clients with a space free of judgment to practice and gain self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-acceptance.

Blanca received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work from Texas Tech University. She completed her Master of Science in Counseling degree at Southern Methodist University with a focus on families and couples. Her formal education has prepared her to counsel children, teenagers, individual adults, groups, families, and couples. She is qualified to provide counseling services in both English and Spanish and qualified to work with the LGBTQIA+ population using the modality of affirmative therapy. Blanca completed her EMDR since 2022 and is working towards EMDR Certification.
